Tea Room Flooring Installation

The Client

We were approached by the Swiss Tea Rooms in Belper's River Gardens. The historic tea rooms had previously closed over 40 years ago in 1981 and required new commercial flooring solutions for the grand reopening.

The Objective

The main issue on this project is that there have been issues with flooding river banks in the past and normal flooring just would not stand up to the task. A water-resistant solution was required, that would also fit in with the aesthetic of the tea rooms, which had been designed to match their historic appearance as closely as possible.

The Result

Our Managing Director Paul suggested a PVC Ecotile which would be easily removed and reinstalled for cleaning or after water damage. Attractive and hard-wearing, Ecotile offers a retail flooring solution that is quick and easy to install, with minimum disruption, and without the need for expensive screeds and adhesives.
